double-clicking the file OR right-click / run (even as Administrator) do absolutely nothing - Task manager indicates that the executable does not even start! Uninstalled Opera using the correct utility, making sure that everything that needed to go really had gone - intention being a new 'fresh' instal.ĭownloaded (several times now) the current version of the Opera installer (Operasetup.exe) version. Problems started 2, maybe 3 days ago - clicking the Opera shortcut in the Start Menu did nothing at all it was impossible to start Opera by ANY means using the existing installation (which was updated to whatever was current at that time). Recently did the free upgrade to Windows 10 (and so far, regretting it - way too much hassle with permissions etc), and at first Opera continued to work OK.

Used Opera for many years, most recently on Win 7 and 8 PCs.
